ALAS-Utah was established in September of 2015 and continues to advocate for Latino students and administrators. The mission of the organization is to develop and support current and aspiring Latino educators. ALAS-Utah helps them advance into positions of leadership through mentorship, networking, access, and professional development.

Scholarships

Goal is to increase the number of Latino educational leaders in Utah.

Provides scholarships annually to aspiring Latino educators pursuing educational leadership/administration degree and Utah administrative license

ALAS-Utah has given away five $5,000 scholarships Since 2018 and will award 3 more scholarships in late May.

Several of our scholarship recipients have gone on to attain administrative positions.

Sessions led by local and national Latino leaders
Promotes equity practices among participants
