ALAS-Utah was founded in September 2015 and remains committed to advocating for the aspirations of Latino students, teachers, and educational leaders. The organization’s primary goal is to empower and nurture both existing and potential Latino educators, guiding them on a path toward leadership roles through mentorship, networking, opportunities, and professional growth initiatives

Scholarships

Goal is to increase the number of Latino educational leaders in Utah.

Provides scholarships annually to aspiring Latino educators pursuing educational leadership/administration degree and Utah administrative license

ALAS-Utah has given away five $5,000 scholarships Since 2018 and will award 3 more scholarships in late May.

Several of our scholarship recipients have gone on to attain administrative positions.
